Missy Monthly Sponsorship

Originally from Arizona, Missy was the mare of a 16 year old rider. Prior to moving to Illinois, Missy had her hooves trimmed until they bled, and then was thrown on a trailer.

For the first 2 years she had to wear protective boots and we could not trim her hooves, as they wouldn’t grow and her feet would easily become tender.

The owner did not know how to handle Missy, and she was thrown into a small stall.

There she lived with mounds of manure, and splintering wood that gashed her sides. Missy is now a great lesson horse, and the alpha of our herd. If you watch her, you’ll see her keeping the boys in line.
